**Evander Kane Leads Oilers to Victory over Flames** **Edmonton, AB October 29, 2023** Evander Kane had a goal and two assists as the Edmonton Oilers defeated the rival Calgary Flames 5-2 at Rogers Place. Kane opened the scoring with a power-play goal in the first period. He later added another assist on a goal by Zach Hyman in the second period, before setting up Connor McDavid for a goal in the third period. Hyman had a goal and an assist, while McDavid and Tyson Barrie each added a goal for the Oilers. Mike Smith made 33 saves in the win. Elias Lindholm and Nazem Kadri scored for the Flames, while Jacob Markstrom made 28 saves in the loss. The Oilers improve to 5-3-1 this season, while the Flames fall to 3-4-1. The two teams will meet again on November 5 in Calgary.
